Smartphones like the iPhone and the newer touchscreen Blackberry devices that are so ubiquitous nowadays has lead to a huge increase in mobile formatted websites, something that you may want to strongly consider as part of your real estate website design.
If you’ve ever attempted to view a full blown website on a mobile device you may have experienced several different "side effects". Your device may slow down to a crawl or even crash, the text may appear tiny, or you’ll find yourself scrolling endlessly to find the piece of information you’re looking for.
A number of tools exist that will easily format your website for mobile devices; the problem is they won’t automatically display it. In other words you must physically input your website address before it will show the newly formatted version, which may improve your real estate web design but isn’t as seamless as you may like.
You could try and circumvent a poorly formatted mobile website by using third party tools that give your users a web address like yourname.mobilewebsite.com for example but that is counterproductive and doesn’t look professional. When building your website to showcase yourself as a realtor, make sure that your real estate website looks at least decent in a mobile device.
